Pastor David Ellis grew up in the beautiful state of Oregon. He was saved March 11 at the age of 14 while attending a Gospel service at Calvary Baptist Church in Casper, Wyoming. He was called into the ministry in 1979. Pastor Ellis has been the senior Pastor of Gateway Baptist Church since January of 2002. He has three daughters, one son, and seven grandchildren.
After moving to Mountain Home, Idaho in 1977 with his parents, Pastor Ellis met his wife, Tammy and they were married in the summer of 1979. He attended Pacific Coast Baptist Bible College in the fall of 1979. He received his Bachelor of Theology and his Masters in Church Ministries from Salt Lake Baptist College. He served in different ministries such as the Youth Pastor and even Senior Pastor for 19 years at Faith Baptist Church in Layton, Utah. He was ordained on June 1, 1983 and was awarded an honorary doctorate from Salt Lake Baptist College on April 24, 2003.

Music & Youth Ministry
Jason asked Jesus into his heart at the age of eleven and began to serve in his church’s puppet and bus ministries. Jason grew up attending Faith Baptist Church in Tacoma, Washington. Jason and Charisa met while attending West Coast Baptist College and got married in March of 2008. They have two sons, Wesson and Diesel. Both Jason and his wife Charisa have been serving at Gateway in different ministries since 2010. Jason serves as our music and youth minister.
